Dumbass music tastes.

Im not trained in anything music wise, but i listen to music more than i dont most years according to spotify wrapped. If you wanna listen to me for music advice you can but dont come to me if my taste is horrible.

19 MASTERS by Sara Grey

from what i know sara grey is from toronto and really good at music. i was doing an insufferable hipster thing and going on bandcamp to look for new music. i went to the new and notable section and there it was first in the list. the kanji on the front of the album cover drew my weeb brain in and what i found was one of the best albums ive listened to in the past 5 years. i couldnt list any song off of the album as ive only listened to it in full listens. skimming through it now id say my favourite track is probably SEEDLESS FRUIT(S OF MY LABOR) with 11/19 as a close second.

The Much Much How How and I by Cosmo Sheldrake

the much much how how and i is the debut album by british guy Cosmo Sheldrake. ive been listening to this album for the past 3 years almost constantly its so good i love the unique sound it has. im not entirely sure how i found this album but if i remember correctly i first heard the song Come Along in a tiktok my friend sent me and added it to my playlist. after this the song birthday suit got big also on twitter and tiktok and due to this i decided to listen to the whole album. ive since listened to all of sheldrakes discography and he has risen to be one of my favourite artists of all time. for this album id say my favourite song is definitely the final track on the album hocking, the way that it transitions from his usual unique sound into a an almost mess of sound that works so well and really makes you feel like you are in an improv session with 5 random buskers you picked up off the street. second favourite probably say is birthday suit its a great walking track if ur feelin a lil devious and a lil evil. definitely give it a listen.

E18 by Detektivbyran

E18 is the debut album of swedish trio detektivbyran (theres meant to be a small o above the A in the name but html doesnt like it apparently). i found this album thanks to the song "nappotet" which i found in a homestuck animatic back in like 2015. this band is an instrumental band which mainly uses an accordion, grammophone and drums to create a really unique and percussive sound that i could and have listened to 24/7. the band disbanded at some point i think back in like 2009. one of the band members went on to create wintergatan which continued the sound that came from detektivbyran but with the inclusion of a theremin and self built contraptions to provide part of the music. they are currently most known for the marble machine which is a one man band machine that plays a full song. out of all the albums that both wintergatan and detektivbyran have released though E18 is definitely my favourite as it doesnt overplay the itself and lose its identity. of the songs on the album id probably say that "hem ljuva hem" and "home sweet home" together as one song is my favourite. this is kind of ironic considering "hem ljuva hem" is one of the only songs which prominently features a piano but it just works really well. in a very close second favourite that kind of combines onto the other 2 songs to be one big song is "Laka-koffa" it plays off the last 2 songs perfectly and is a great ending to the album that really ties up all the emotions that if brings up within you.

more albums coming when i can be bothered to add them to the list aka probably in a ridiculous amount of time due to forgetting about this page
